What is a Research Experience for Teachers?

The “Research Experience For Teachers” is a National Science Foundation initiative which gives high school teachers and Community College faculty the opportunity to engage in 6 weeks of cutting edge research in sustainable polymer engineering, develop research based classroom activities and participate in a range of workshops to improve their teaching pedagogy, communication skills and student engagement.

US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Mississippi Resident

High School or Community College Science Teachers

Areas of Chemistry, Engineering, Physics, Physical Science and Biology are preferred
